Fisher's Haven is a small riverine settlement in north-western Toreen, where the Royal Road crosses the Misty River.

The hamlet was founded in 4583 by the Bailey family. The elder Bailey, after retiring from a storied naval career, settled at the mouth of the Misty and slowly the hamlet grew. However, several storms, coupled with the shifting soils of the ground near the mouthing, made life difficult. The proximity of the Royal Road, less than 3 km upstream, eventually prompted the move, and the settlement relocated around the bridge over the Misty. The settlement grew quickly, but over time, the tradition of fishing was replaced with farming. Brine wheat and beans are the primary crops; vegetables, rock sugar, and even a small quantity of murkberries, are also cultivated.

The mayor, Zoe Bailey, still follows the family custom and runs a fishing operation in both the river and in the mostly calm waters of the sheltered bay into which the river pours. Councillor Ariella Woods oversees the farming activities of the people, and runs the market.

There are several inns in the village, catering to travellers along the Road. The Razimite Antonyr Piers, a teamster, offers animal handling and wagon repair services to travellers. A chantry to Razim is attached to his workshop on the edge of town.

The hamlet celebrates a water festival on the first day of rains each year; travellers who happen to be in the town at the time are “baptised” in the Misty, and receive honorary citizenship. Most of the year’s murwine is usually consumed during this celebration.
