Shadowcastle is a large and rather mysterious mining city in the Black Saw Mountains, between Keserel and Nomden.
Shadowcastle is famous for its impressive fortified building high up on a ridge overlooking the mines and smelteries below. Its looming Tower of Light is darkly stained by soot and ash from the fires below (see p 102).
Victorya Capers is the reclusive castle lord, said to be the formidable warrior who was once a dragon! Councillor Brynna Winnows is directly in charge of the mining and smelting activity.
This grim, dark settlement consists of a deep-mine, from which a variety of metals and conglomerate tazits are extracted, many huge smelteries for refining materials, and secure storage facilities. Raw materials from Nomden are processed here, and refined materials are exported to Keserel. Lady Alyssia Thredd is responsible for the transport of all materials.
