Summeroak list in the central Black Valley in the Greater Kascht, on the banks of the mighty Baurin River. Trails connect to Avaben and Whiteash. It lies downriver from Fogcastle, and upriver from Violetash Cliff.
The fertile soil of the Black Valley yields abundant crops of brown cotton, lily silk, hempen, and many varieties of fruit. An entertaining range of beers are made by the villagers.
Somewhere near the village, it is believed, is the home of the reclusive mage Nicholaes Hightower who is said to be a forest spirit who disguised himself in order to learn his craft.
Curious rumours persist of a dry, hot, sandy desert, with rolling sand dunes and blasting winds, somewhere south-west of Summeroak. Some scholars speculate that this is an hallucination caused by certain fungi that grow naturally on adernaloma trees, small stands of which are occasionally found in the forest.
