This beautiful old monastery, built over three centuries ago and substantially developed over time, lies along a ridge of steep hills on the outer reaches of the Hills of Burin. Its distinctive tower looks out over the farmlands of Draccrest.
The primary work of the monastery is the study of political and military power structures and policies. The prior, Aebria Hurd, is an expert on the physiology of birds and humanoids. The assistant prior, Davyd Farmor, studies politics and group dynamics.
The surrounding region was, and still is, quite desolate. The western part of the hills are infested by skrags, so the monastery is unusually well-fortified.
