Belmead lies along the [[Royal Road]] between [[Torbeck]] and [[Camfor]], two days from the latter. In any other location, it would probably remain a sleepy fishing village, but because it lies on a somewhat desolate stretch of the Royal Road, connecting two major cities, it is a thriving hospitality centre.

Belmead is on the coast, astride the Briar River where it flows into Big Bay. Numerous taverns and hostels line the village’s waterfront area, the most famous of which are the Goat Boy's Firkin, the Giant's Hand, and the Thief's Shell. Kelp and shellfish harvested in the bay are popular delicacies. Villages not involved in fishing are likely to be livestock wranglers.

Belmead lies along the Royal Road between Torbeck and Camfor, two days from the latter.

Villagers not involved in fishing are likely to be livestock wranglers.

Elder Kayla Bend, a pleasant herbalist, runs the small town council, which meets in the home of a well-respected navigator, Lucoe Sandman.

The village has a chapel, two chantries, three shrines, and an All-Gods.

A peculiar attraction is the bestiary maintained by the Enchanter Alyxa Simmerman on a large property just outside the settlement.

Some 75 years ago a ghost ship was said to have washed up near the harbour.

A short walk to the south of the village, along the coast, a stream empties into the bay via a beautiful waterfall. The gentle misty spray cures barrenness, and eager couples gather here from time to time to conduct intimate acts during a fertility festival. After the festival, participants travel home wearing special tunics, decorated with Oohmian symbols. There, they refashion the tunics into swaddling cloths.
