Pine Edge lies in the lower hills south of the Mountains of Lendorn, near the north-western fringe of the Greater Kascht Forest, on the banks of the Donkey River. Pine Edge is up-stream of Lorbank.
Eryc Saylor is the village elder, a noted historian and author.
The villagers gather and process forest fruit, berries, tree lime, and mingen spice from the surrounding forest. Hosea Sower, an elderly craftsmen and alchemist, has developed a process of manufacturing perfectly clear glass using the tree lime.
Master Sorcerer Adym Maker is a diviner of great skill and has a keep on the edge of the village. Students often travel here for extended periods of tutelage.
An old mine is said to exist under (or near) the village, and is believed to be a dungeon holding beasts captured by a mysterious mage and his associates.
