Colour palette of Sahir

The Saar Grand High Priest, Her Holiness Samaentha Wall, water walking across Lake Pai to the Grand Temple of Sahir.
A cubic structure of arcane power has recently been sighted along the coast of the Province of Sahir, perched on Viresyn Point.

Followers of Sahir, God of Magic

“Magic is the sacred art.”
“Hear the silence of the stars as they sing. There is no lie in their fire.”
(said about magic) “You may grow to love me but remember I am not yours to keep.”
“No spark thinks it caused the wildfire.”

The Saar are a small clerical group, serving the needs of spell casters, alchemists, smiths, and others who work with magic. Most wizard’s guilds in the larger cities have Saar clerics in attendance, and will have well-appointed chapels and chantries.

No member of the Royal Family, or of the peerage, are clerics of Sahir, although HRH Queen Adelicia, a noted Enchanter, is a follower of the Goddess of Magic, as are several other Archmages, Enchanters, Conjurers and Sorcerers.

The Saar own the large Province of Sahir in southern Krethes, near the border with Kirvan. No settlements are found within the province, and it is a desolate, uninhabited region without a district capital. It is administered from Pai, some 200km north, by Grand Arcane Damyan Tagus the Illuminated.

The Prelate of Sahir, Mme. Aeobreia Lodges, is resident in Camfor. There are Grand High Priests stationed in Harden, Laneder, Pai and Coth-Rom.

Saar clerics are expected to be resourceful and original in solving their problems.

The Saar have very few ceremonies compared to the other faiths in Kalderesh. No form of confirmation is held as the Saar is not seen as a faith for the common folk, and neither are funerals conducted. A devout or important Saar, while alive, will have designated another faith out of which to be buried, and a cleric of Saar will assist, or merely attend, the funeral rite. There are no particular calendrical ceremonies, but High Priests may designate any day as a special feast day on which Saar is publicly acknowledged as the goddess of magic. Meditation is commonly practised, but formal prayer or communion as distinct rituals are unknown. Ritualistic fasts are sometimes engaged in to assist the faithful in solving some problem or other. Similarly, rites of purification may be performed if a fast fails to deliver a sought-after solution. Atonement can only be performed by a Grand High Priest and its proceedings are eclectic and always held behind closed doors. Sacrifices are made only in the context of the Mystery, which is a particularly secretive affair, attended only by the higher-ranking priests of Sahir.
