Nordale lies in north-eastern Wetwoods, between the Winnow and Silverrun Rivers.

Nordale is unique in that it is within the druidic realm of the Wetwoods. By agreement with the Great Druid of the Circle of Stars, the forest between the Winnow and Silverrun Rivers is for the use of the villagers. They have a close alliance with the druids, and tend to exotic plants in the forest.

The village is home to the legendary story-teller Kayla Starr. Each year, the village council puts on a special festival to honour her, during which she performs a special story-telling. Bards travel from afar to attend the festival.

The village elder, Aeva Thick, is a retired artist from Pai.

The villagers produce a range of exotic plant materials and by-products, sought after by healers, diviners, and potion makers. From time to time, the druids select a child or two to train in the special wisdom needed to tend the plants. These special carers are identified by pink tunics, which they wear with pride.

There is no military presence in the village, following the agreement made with the druids many decades ago.

A festive chapel to Qidra stands in the village centre.

A mysterious ranger, known only as Black Michael, visits Nordale from time to time.
