Whiteash lies in the southern fringes of the Greater Kascht, on the banks of the Pale Brook. Trails connect to other small settlements in the forest.
Whiteash is known for its small Wizard’s Guild that specializes in the crafting of magical longbows. The local chapter of the Guild led by Senior Sorcerer Aevan Threddaker, who is also an independent scholar and senior member of the Guild of Harness Makers & Saddlers – he was responsible for the ground-breaking design of the harnesses now used by the sky helms.
The town elder, Alecks Street, is a skilled artist, and his paintings of moody forest scenes command high prices.
First councillor Horgus Wood is an expert animal trainer; wealthy persons and nobles often bring their favourite mounts to him for training.
The hilly southlands outside Whiteash has the perfect soil and rainfall pattern for the almost-continual cultivation of swamp rice. This nourishing resource is harvested and processed into long-lasting and sustaining dry rations, commonly used by the military in Kirvan.
