The mage tower of Jonaeth Brewer, capped with a landing platform, outside Springbarrow.

Springbarrow is a little fishing village on the Coth-Rom Sound, near the city of Coth-Rom. It lies some 8 km from the Royal Road, and consequently receives few visitors or traffic.

Mayor Connorus Eddy has his office on the harbour wall, and oversees the little fishing fleet which brings in fish, star urchins, and octopus. Most of the catch is supplied to Coth-Rom.

A small and precarious wooden bridge connects the harbour market to a rocky promontory jutting out of the ocean. A very old statuette of a seahorse stands on the outcrop. It is sometimes visited by Qidranians, although its origin is unknown.

The surrounding farmland produces a range of crops, most of which is also transported to and sold in Coth-Rom.

Beyond the farmlands stands the remarkable tower of the reclusive mage Jonaeth Brewer. Master Brewer is a devout Razimite and has built a fane to Razim in S[ringbarrow. He is seen in the fane, and sometimes about town, during the major Razimite days only, wearing flowing yellow robes and in the company of a young lady.

Master Brewer is commonly acknowledged as the best boatwright in the realm. As advisor to Lord Admiral Josayah Emerick, he is unusually busy with naval design work.

His tower appears ruined, but this is only true for the outer buildings, for which he apparently has no use.
