Glassrock lies in a picturesque little valley, carved by the River of Bells, at the southern end of the Broad Valley.

The settlement is literally a shining beacon in the wilderness, as it lies at the foot of a crystal-rich koppie which glistens in the bright daylight. Certain plants are cultivated on the hillock; their leaves are carefully collected and fed to a special breed of worms which spin a strong silk that is almost see-through. This silk is used in the production of certain magical items.

Senior Sorcerer Handyr Gardiner is the local expert on the glassy minerals, and his protective tower gleams almost as bright atop the prominence.

The town elder, Valentyna Candler, is also the senior craftsman in the village, which produces religious trinkets, made from crystal, for sale throughout the nation.

Villagers who aren’t at work in the craft guild, farm the rich surrounding grasslands. Herds of cattle range freely in the area; from them, salted meat and parchment are produced and exported. Hand-picked calves are given crystal from the hillock to lick, instead of regular salt licks. From their hides, magical footwear is produced.
