Linwall is a fishing village in northern Daern, at the mouth of the Ashbeck. It lies in a sheltered cove but has no deep harbour; all ocean trade has to be transported to ships at anchor. River trade thrives between Linwall and Blackwinter.
The mayor, Allysann Lethers, is an accomplished bladesmith. Lucae Archmaker, her first councillor, takes care of much of the day to day affairs of the village.
Councillor Archmaker’s wife, Magus Abigayl Small, is a well-known author and mentalist, who thrives in this quiet country atmosphere. Her interesting and colourful house guests cause much remarks in the district.
Linwall produces dried and smoked fish, as well as fish oil. Raw cotton and beach rice are also cultivated, gathered and exported.
The Monastery of D’Aad lies some 7 km outside of Linwall; the village supplies goods to the monastery from time to time. Every year, the village has a great festival to mark the date on which the monastery was inaugurated.
