Cordale lies in the gentle hilly uplands between the Broad and Prycastle Valleys in central west Daern. A secondary road connects Cordale to Glassrock and Forbeck.

This small agricultural village is known for the excellent quality hops it produces and exports. A small distillery produces a special brandy, the Blue Scarf, that commands high prices across the nation. Experts claim that the water from the Fairbrook River is the secret ingredient of this fantastic drink.

Large fields of wild flax are harvested and processed to produce a fine linen. Some of this is used to make delicate headscarves.

A small quantity of high-quality glass is produced here, using the soda ash extracted from plants grown on the banks of the Fairbrook.

Several miles from the village, in the lower reaches of the Copper Hills, is a magnesium mine, which produces a steady income for the villagers.

The village is run by Mayor Yvan Waller.
