Vertwall is an isolated fishing village in north-western Daern. It is famous for the tower of the Grand Sorcerer Aemo Storms, which stands on a rocky promontory some distance from the small harbour.
Mayor Wyttus Riggett runs the village council, and is in charge of the production of a novel pipe tobacco made from aquatic plants which grow along the coast.
Senior councillor Amy Crafter oversees the production of sturdy canvas, made from local cotton interwoven with treated seaweed, giving it enhanced durability in a marine climate.
