Merriwick is a small agricultural community just outside Duskwood, in south-central Toreen. It lies on the River Merry which flows out of the Hills of Horton to the south.
The village elder is Jyck Swordson, a devoted Oohmian and scholar of exotic lore. Swordson oversees the village’s rich agricultural lands, which produces beans, camworte, river lichen and parse wheat.
First Councillor Hudsyn Glasier is a master boatwright, building small manoeuvrable craft that are well-suited to travelling the waters of the Merry.
The Aranite explorer Lyncon Biggs, a skilled trapper and furrier, lives in the village, as does the cavalier Hosius Anchor, who is in charge of the town guard.
The town guard wear distinctive green armour, decorated with stylistic floral motifs.
A small castle, Merriton Hall, stands on a ridge overlooking the village. It is the personal stronghold of the independently wealthy Iaen Ships. Master Ships has a valuable collection of art pieces, and annually hosts a festival to celebrate art, music, and dance.
