Looking across Prycastle Valley from the Copper Hills.

Appledell is a farming community on the plains of Daern, at the head of Prycastle Valley. It lies on the Royal Road, within the Royal District of Parnogrust and on the border with the Second Province of D’Aad.

The village is famous for its apple cider which is made by the mayor, Avaery Pyke, following an old family recipe. The sizeable inn, The Nymph's Mug, is run by Daenyel Tidewater. A beautiful Qidranian chapel is part of the inn.

A permanent resident of the inn is the scholar Conjurer Evanus Thyme. Thyme is often consulted by out of town visitors because he is an expert on maritime affairs and is a senior member of the Guild of Shipwrights.

Every few years the village hosts a special winter cider festival during which a new flavour of apple cider is made public. These varieties are usually named for mythical beasts, and when popular, demand high prices when exported.

Large fields of horse barley are cultivated and exported as prime horse feed.
