Millfield is one of the stops along the Royal Road between Barforos and Londesh.

The settlement is strung out along the Road, where it crosses the Fish River. A short distance downstream from the bridge, the river cascades through rapids and then plunges along a short waterfall.

The carter and chief merchant, Andreya Shelley, is head of the local council. Many inns, taverns and hostels are found in the village, and carters, stables, and wainwrights are plentiful. Travellers know the village for its skilful weavers and leather workers.

The village is widely known for (and justifiably proud of) its most important citizen: the Grand Arcane Talya Sunn, an accomplished mage and dedicated follower of Sahir. Her well-constructed keep guards the little town, and its castellan, Cameryn Dyer, keeps the peace in the region.
