Strongfield is a coastal village on the Gulf of Kalder. It lies at the mouth of the Fishbourn, at a three-way intersection of the Royal Road. Cape Danger lies to the north.

Cattle, pigs, and goats are kept, and basic subsistence farming is carried out. The village is clustered around the magnificent Castle Strongfield and exists primarily to support it.

Strongfield is the home of HRH Prince Ailwin Philbert-Kalder (son of the Crown Prince) and HRH Princess Bryanna. Prince Ailwin studies divinations, and often has sages and scholars as long-term guests in the castle. His ability at water divination is acknowledged by other experts.

In the castle grounds is a huge garden, which Princess Bryanna uses to further her studies of plants, particularly flowering plants. She is also knowledgeable about marine animals, and maintains an underwater zoo in the bay outside the village harbour.

The Castle complex includes a sizeable military wing of cavaliers and rangers, as well as a prominent Mage’s tower, the Red Needle, home of the Grand Wizard Aelisabeth Bowman.
